Hello
Welcoming Michael — A 9-Day-Old Newborn Photography Session
There is something extraordinary about photographing a brand-new life. Those first days go by in a blur of sleepy snuggles, gentle breaths, and tiny features that change far too quickly. At just 9 days old, baby Michael visited Studio Blanc to document his earliest chapter — a story filled with love, wonder, and the most tender moments between a growing family.
Michael arrived wrapped in a cozy blanket, warm and content in his parents’ arms. We kept the environment calm and peaceful, working with feathered light to highlight the softness of his new skin and the sweet innocence that only a newborn can hold. He drifted in and out of sleep, occasionally peeking up with wide, curious eyes — as if taking in the world for the very first time.
What always moves me most during newborn sessions is the connection that unfolds naturally in front of the lens — the way two people look at their baby with pure devotion and awe. Michael’s parents spent the session leaning into each other, quietly smiling, and soaking in the magic of their son. Those forehead-to-forehead moments… the ones filled with love too strong for words — they are the images that become heirlooms.
Newborn photography isn’t just about adorable portraits (though we love those tiny details!). It’s about preserving the emotion — the overwhelming joy, the newness of every touch, the profound shift when a family grows. These are the memories that deserve to be held onto long after the baby blankets are tucked away.
Michael, thank you for being such a calm and sweet little soul. And to his parents — thank you for trusting me to document this beautiful milestone. Your journey together is just beginning, and I’m so honored to have captured the very first chapter.
If you’re expecting and thinking about newborn portraits, the ideal time to photograph your baby is between 5 and 14 days old — when they’re still tiny, sleepy, and curled up just like in the womb. Reach out any time to begin planning your own session; I would love to help you preserve these once-in-a-lifetime moments.
